Trovatore posses a superb balance of excellence in fleece, perfect conformation, heavy
bone, pleasing temperment and a great head. Judges have commented favourably on this
balance. His fleece is both dense and uniform and displays well defined crimp on staples
of long length. The uniformity in his fleece is evident both within individual staples as well
as across his blanket with the character carrying well under his belly and down his legs.

At the 2007 IAO, although Trovatore stood behind Accoyo America Shogun, Accoyo America
North Star, Elevation of Crescent Moon and Rembrandt by El Nino, it was his placement ahead
of males sired by Snowmass Quechua, PCA Accoyo El Nino, Caligula's Accoyo Poseidon,
Christopher-B and MSA Hemingway's Tequila entered by prominent breeders that is noteworthy.
Over and above Trovatore's sound phenotype and genotype, it is the consistency of his full siblings which
speaks well of his breeding value. Full siblings include Xanadu P.
Travesura (R. Color Champion 2003 All
American Futurity); Xanadu P. La Traviata (Color Champion 2004 Monterey Pronk); Xanadu P. Trousseau
(R. Fawn Color Champion 2005 Mid-America Show, Color Champion 2006 Alpacas in the Ozarks, R. Color

In 2007, full sister Trousseau, retained by Xanada Farm Alpacas, gave birth to her first cria,
Reprise, sired by Victor's Vaccoyo, paternal brother to our mature herdsire Americano. Shown
in 2008, Reprise captured 1st Place at both the MOPACA Invitational & GWAS, and 2nd at the
AOBA Nationals. We anticipate comparable quality in our future Trovatore - Americano crosses.
